Navigating Through Time
I was commissioned by #Futur21 to create a video piece for the Schiffshebewerk Henrichenburg museum as a visualisation of shipping related data in the context of the climate crisis.
First looking at the growth of cargo shipping in the past, it then continues with inland water levels predictions of the Rhine. Reaching year 2099 it shows climate change related consequences for our society and economy.
Extreme weather events will become the new normality, bringing more droughts and floods like that in North-Westphalia in the summer of 2021.
